Following the announcement by the Honourable Donna Harpauer, Minister of Social Services, that a separate income program for people with disabilities would be developed in Saskatchewan, DISC was invited to participate in a Task Team that would develop initial recommended design options for the new Disability Income Program. The Task Team is made up of equal numbers of government and community representatives. The Minister has requested an interim report in the spring of 2009.

DISC is pleased to be a partner at the table during the development of the new program. The Coalition encourages the government to continue, with community, in the further development of an adequate program that provides security and dignity to all persons with disabilities.
